Windsong III

Our blueberry picking days are coming to an end - today we went to a few wineries to taste and to the swimming hole, which is really just a lake that runs through the town that we are in, Blenheim.

I made incredible blueberry muffins the other night, and Robin made Blueberry soup!

We leave on Friday to head to Nelson for an creative and fun filled weekend. Afterward, we are doing a three day hike in Abel Tasman National Forest, which will be fantastic.

Windsong Farm Photos....

Windsong Farm

Our week-long farm stay started Friday, we arrived in Renwick, greeted by Jennie and Bob Crum, who are wonderful. We share a cottage equipped with a bathroom, kitchen and beds with an American girl and English man- quite fun!

The Crums have a blueberry farm and different strands of plums, which are perfect. Sunday we rode bikes to the farmers market in Blenheim and helped to sell the fruits- which Windsong sold out of!

Every morning we pick blueberries, which is trickier than you would imagine, and have the afternoons off to explore the town, go wine tasting at the 50+ wineries around, head to the swimming pool, paint, read and relax.

Thus far, we have snorkeled, biked, hiked, went for a run ( I know- it was freezing on Mt Cook), been through a hail storm (right now as I write), went dancing, danced w fire sticks, you name it- more to come!

Friday we are headed to Nelson and then Abel Tasman for a three day hike/ stay and we leave NZ on the 8th of February.

Looking forward to sky diving and more adventures! Photos to come.... xo
